Just a train station? Nope. A whole vibe.
Hey Hive fam! 🌍
Snapped a few pics around Maputo this week — the iconic train station, a couple of monuments, and a hero statue that really caught my eye.
Turns out, June 25th is Mozambique’s Heroes Day, celebrating independence from colonial rule in 1975. It’s a big deal here — not just about flags and speeches, but about remembering how far people have come.
That soldier statue? It’s not just for show. Kinda felt like he was guarding more than a building — like he was watching over history.
As someone living and working here, I feel it’s important to tune into these local moments. Makes you realize you're not just “passing through” — you’re part of the bigger story.
Cheers!
