Firstly I was a little surprised that Dan Larimer wasn’t on the 40 under 40 list but he almost certainly would have been on the shortlist and if I had to choose between Larimer and Buterin the latter would get my definitive vote for most influential person in crypto under 40 and probably of anybody with a known identity. The guy is so brilliant he’s like Tesla was to electromagnetism. Because of that ETH will stay relevant even in the face of competition like Cardano.
What’s more important about this list is you almost never see clusters (maybe one off individuals but not clusters) of people from one field start to dominate it unless the field is transformative. Think about the days when Jobs, Gates, Ellison were represented then the pc guys like Dell then the internet people like Brin and Page. The blockchain generation is now making their mark and they are the largest generation in history! They are also the most globally connected! Let history be a lesson to you and get aboard the blockchain train!
