So let me get this right... Clarify if you would please @azircon.
I'm a business owner and have owned a fitness business for well over 10 years...
- Let's say I hire a videographer to create a promotional video for me and my corporation...
- Or perhaps I hire a model and a photographer for a shoot...
- or I hire a photographer to take before and after photos of my clients results after a fitness challenge and have a model release in hand...
- Or perhaps I hire an editor or pay for a Grammarly service, etc.
- Or maybe I hire a shadow writer (like the news companies or major magazines do).
- Or what if I hire a programmer to write lines of code for me.
- Or get someone to develop an application for me.
- Or what if I decide that I want to have music commissioned or sound effects made for my logo.
- Speaking of which... What if I have a logo designed for me...
- Or maybe I want someone to create an animation for me to go along with everything I'm creating on and for the blockchain...
- Or I get an artist to create an NFT for me so that I can make use of a licensed image throughout my work.
And what if I'm really really good at photoshop but I'm not good at taking the actual pictures... So I hire someone to take them for me... Or I'm really really good at snapping pictures but I struggle with the writing process... so I hire a writer to write for me while I learn...
And what if I do all of this to not only polish my image but to also make Hive's presence felt and known everywhere...
Should I then be nailed to the wall if one of those people I hired CHEATS ME by steeling the content, code, etc. they "needed" to create what it was that I had commissioned?
Ok... Remove the value from the plagiarized content. That makes actual sense to me...
But strip away everything (including ones good will and social status) on EVERY PUBLISHED WORK that's been bought and legitimately paid for or made by their own hand?
That seems excessive and overly unfriendly.
You see... I don't know why anyone would want to step into this zero out role that you've stepped into... Especially when your walking out on such soft ground and you are clearly outside your scope and knowledge set.
There are copyright lawyers who wouldn't want to do what you are doing... and yet here you are! Doing it!
I don't know what to think...
A) Admire you for your courage and willingness to go the length in keeping Hive's integrity...
OR
B) Shake my head in wonder for you...
I'm very curious what your (or anyone's) thoughts are after reading my thoughts about what is happening here...
I sincerely would like to know and I look forward to your response.
A Personal Note: I believe that @purepinay deserves a chance here. Her writer has harmed her and her reputation... and yes. She did dropped the ball in not doing her due diligence to double check the work she was receiving. She trusted the wrong person.
Sure. Take away that posts rewards... But she has done so so much for Hive and it's communities of people. We all love her and believe in her.
She is a stand up girl and I am certain she will be EXTREAMLY careful who she hires to help her with her work going forward... and she will also be careful to check over that work as well.
Can we cut her some slack here and think more objectively?
I mentioned to you before that this zero out method of Hive Integrity is a double edge sword... It gets the job done but destroys everything we have worked so hard for and undermines all of our marketing progress as well...
Can we not give this method a second thought? ...because I think that this is a perfect example of why our methods matter just as much as what it is we are trying to achieve.
Let's all continue to innovate and grow the way we think on this blockchain... and let's do it together because that's all we have! Each other!
Sincerely,
@ryzeonline,
@apshamilton, &
@dickturpin (and anyone else that would like to share their thoughts) care to weigh in here? Am I off base in my line of rational or is there some merit to my words?
