RE: UVD: A solution to volatility
bitUSD is pegged to USD, a debt-based currency. When USD goes to zero value (see note 3), bitUSD or any USD pegged token will follow by definition, even if it is backed by collaterized currencies that

RE: UVD: A solution to volatility
Thanks for taking the time to study and comment this community project. UVD is not a store of value. It is a tool to establish value without using a currency. Once the value of a transaction is established

I like this project A LOT. It could be the graal of governance. Agoras, TML and EOS = future

RE: UVD: A solution to volatility
The fact that UVD is not a currency makes it a perfect global tool to express value. It is not an easy concept to grasp because we are so used to express value with currencies.

Stan, I want to put the emphasis on the fact that you are signing off from the crypto blogosphere only, not from the bitshares ecosystem. I think this is a really good move. Your integrity as BTS Godfather

Dan does not care about credit. In the open source community, you should at least acknowledge when you work on top of other's achievements, even if, like Cardano team, you do not bring value to the space

Mmm, not sure. ADA/ETH investors are clearly not doing their research before investing. I bet they will miss the boat still holding their worthless bags.

Thanks for the analogy. However, I agree with rok-sivante that the implications of such a breakthrough are difficult to grasp, our brains being so familiar with using programming langages, not create them.

RE: IOTA caught in a lie, or did they just conveniently not clarify the truth about their Microsoft ties?
The tangle may have some use cases in the future, but IMO is scalable at the cost of decentralization. So, from a blockchain perspective, it's a dead-end.

RE: How will IOTA become a reality without fees?
I was an early investor in IOTA, used the wallet, read the documentation. After some time, I never got rid of this gut feeling that it is too complicated and cumbersome. IMHO, it is not an elegant solution

Good questions! I believe that IoT transactions have to happen at zero-fee, but not necessarily at zero-cost. It just imply that the devices themselves can transact freely. I strongly believe that the

RE: Bill S.1241: Amending the Definition of a Financial Institution
Very unsettling. I think this is a reaction to the next wave of crypto cards (prepaid access devices) that are coming to the market (e.g. Ocash and the likes). Until now, crypto was hard to use, but soon,
