I hope this "medication" thing is given with proper diagnoses and not consider the children's health for the sole purpose of denying the reality that children now don't have ears. Well, I say children are gonna play, as part of human nature, they are egocentric, which will occur in a classroom. But excessive noises, unnecessary movements, distractions, and bad behavior is an issue especially if the children won't listen. Maybe a "group dynamics" activity would help the kids understand and reflect the classes they have that day and the teacher would explain everything he/she needs to explain. We do it here as college students and group dynamics is really helpful in pinpointing our behaviors, however, privately for some personal comments.

I agree on you that children now are pretty messed up. They have plenty of screen time and digital exposure which gives them no benefit but a short attention span. Most of the students who won't listen in a class is distracted by their phones and social media. There are many habits we have made children do that are unhealthy like drinking softdrinks at very young age and shouting at them when they make mistakes. The discussion of "it is not their fault" will always insert. And I strongly say parents will always be the one to blame what happened on their child. That' why instead of asking children "what's wrong" I always ask "what happened". I know parents are also influenced by the upbringing they had as a child and as an adult but part of parenting is to cut the generational trauma and control the triggers. Let's not practice doing things to our children that happened to us. It is not on the list of their "inheritance".

I would say the best solution for this is not to give kids medication to control them but to give access to reproductive and family planning including healthy parenting guides to parents to make sure the kid will grow healthy, hence children will not be a young of unhealthy behaviors. It starts on the parents mindset, to open their minds, to leave the traditional style of parenting that did not raise them healthy. Now is the time to raise emotionally, psychologically, mentally, and physically healthy young ones.
