The rough roads and steep path you took is worthy of passing because of the paradise awaiting on the end. The mountains, green grasses, and sky are, if not perfect, almost perfect. Your experiences of meeting children and traditional houses on the village must be overwhelming and satisfying. You might had a rough travel but the travel was worth it because of these gems.
