Did you also play Dark Souls, Nioh, and other similarly difficult games? I tried probably the most to git gud at Nioh 1, the others I basically just gave up immediately after the first regular mob seemed like a bossfight. In Nioh I got to the first actual boss and even after looking at strategies in YouTube still got my ass handed to me. I tend to freak out when I am getting hit and that is a poor strategy in any game of this sort.
