I've found that over time as graphics become more and more lifelike that this aspect of gaming matters less and less for me. I HATE long load times and am not really a fan of long drawn out cinematics either.
Hollow Knight, as is the featured picture on your blog is a perfect example of what I consider to be an absolutely fantastic game. Simplistic gameplay, almost no cutscenes, fairly open gameplay, easy to understand and very difficult to master. The fact that there are several endings, the true ending of which is almost impossible (for me) to achieve is just great. I love it when games have multiple endings and you can make it is difficult as you want to.
