After some level of difficulty simply finding out that this mission even exists I finally got to start it. This is a bit of an issue with GTA5 in that it isn't always really all that clear what the heck you are supposed to be doing next and this was a clear example of it. There is no indicator on the map or in any of the menus that this mission even exists and when I went online there was a lot of explanations about how letters will appear on the map if there is some sort of mission that can be activated at that location.
The problem with this one is that Simeon's garage is indicated on the map with the letter "S" all the time so there was no reason for me to know that I needed to go there to activate this mission. Also, when you do actually go there and try to enter through the back door like was required of you in the past, the garage door is locked and shut. The only way to activate the quest is to drive into the front parking lot, which is something that I have never been required to do up to this point.
I think this is a flaw in the game but I guess that is what we have the internet for.
Once the mission actually starts, this is one of the best missions that I have encountered up to this point.
This is the first time in the game that you are introduced to stealth and they take it easy on you because the gardener is pretty oblivious to your presence and you easily karate chop him down.
you have to sneak into this house and I wasn't really looking forward to this because I really don't like stealth missions in other games. Thankfully, I think Rockstar was aware that people tend to not like stealth because you don't really have to be terribly accurate with your sneaking to not get noticed.
Even though there are people in clear view of you they will not notice you unless you make a ton of noise. Then you get into the garage and simply drive out of there.
It's actually pretty easy but here is something funny that I wonder if other people ended up playing this way. I always kind of feel like I should be obeying the laws and stopping at red lights but I tried doing this and it just takes forever to get where you are going. I feel like in some sort of GTA I played in the past that traffic infractions would get the police on your case but that doesn't seem to be the case in this one. You can crash into just about anything and nothing is going to happen to you unless you destroy the car.
Basically everyone that has played this game is aware that this is the point where you get introduced to Michael and can now play as him. But I was completely unaware of this and it took me by surprise when he was in the back seat of the car I had just taken.
This mission is actually considerably easier than the first two missions that you are forced to take on and I'm pretty happy that they did this. The previous mission where I had to chase down a guy at high speed and shoot him from the window of the car that I am driving was, IMO, extremely difficult. SO I was kind of relieved to discover that the missions don't just get progressively harder by design.
This is where I ended my day in real life and went to bed but I have to say, I can understand why everyone just loves loves loves this game and is looking forward to the next release.
The story, the voice acting, the music, the graphics, just everything about this game is truly top-notch. There are a couple of issues with not understanding what the hell you are supposed to do next but from what I have read a lot of the guides suggest that you do not try to rush through all the missions anyway. I think I will go and rob some minimarts and perhaps spend some time at the strip club... lol
