In commemoration of the World Pharmacist Week, the Young Pharmacist Group of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter hosted a Career Orientation Session for students of Ikolaba Grammar School (on Wednesday) and Concord High School Oluyole, Ibadan (today).
The Session was harnessed as a platform to create awareness on Drug Abuse.
BNI was privileged to be invited to speak on the dangers of Drug Abuse among young people.
BNI President/CEO, Pharm. John Oluwadero encouraged the student to desist from any peer pressure that may lead them into experimenting with drugs. Abuse of drugs weakens the mind which is the seat of intelligence. He cautioned them against endangering their mind by reason of drug abuse because an endangered mind is an endangered destiny.
For the Career Orientation Session, Pharm. Bolaji Alebiosu (Dralet) introduced Pharmacy profession to the students and various career options available for Pharmacists. She further encouraged the students towards considering Pharmacy as their course of study in the University.
The session ended with questions and answers from students and staff.
