Long ago, all the lizards were very beautiful and looked forever young
They were bright green and yellow with smooth shiny skin that shined/like the finest gold. Lizards hid from the hot sun in order to keep their skin wet and shing. They would come out in the morning or just before the sunset so that other animals could admire their glowing skin. As we all know that if a person is fine, he will want to form puch that exactly what the lizard did in front of all the other creatures. Chai what beautiful skin you have "said the snake with great envy. Even the humans then thought that the lizard were the most beautiful of all animals.
And so it was for lizards until that terrible day, when a lizard could not hold on and fell from the ceiling into a cooking pot. The man in the village found the cooked lizards on his spoon and decided to try tasting it. He said that the lizard was delicious. Some people say this was because the man had been hunting all day and was very hungry others say it was because the man was fat and lazy and he would eat anything
One wise lizards called iguana gathered his relatives and friends together for a discussion. He told them "if we don't do something, we will all be eaten soon.we can't hide under a roof forever, we would fall asleep and fall off. Where else can go? If we hid under the stones, scorpion or snakes would eat it harm us " said iguana daughter.
Then a little lizard with a tiny squeaky voice put forward in idea yesterday when I dropped off the roof I landed in a young girls lap luckily, she didn't see me, so I hid inside her wrapped until dark, why don't we do that everyday? Humans are very warm and we can sleep there all through the hot day ,and go hunting to find insect before they wake up?
Hmm what a good plan said iguana let try it. So, from that time lizards appeared at sunrise and hid in peoples clothes until sunset
However, this ideal turned out to be a very bad one. The lizard did not realize that cloth need to be washed .the woman went to the river to wash their wrappers and their clothes were filled with sleeping lizards. The woman shook the clothes and saw infant generation if lizards fell onto the hot the hot rock by the river, the woman was shocked, immediately the woman ran back to the village to collect pot for the lizard the sun beat down their glowing skin. The lizards were too frightened to move and their feet were stuck to the rock of course, their skin began to dry and shrink and their colour were faded. When the woman returned, they were amazed. The lizard, which had been so bright and shiny were dry and wrinkled 'ugh' how ugly they look. I wouldn't eat them one woman cried. Neither would I wouldn't eat any one of them. Another woman shouted. She flapped her wrapper and the lizard ran for their lives into the dark space between the stones. Since that day lizard have dull wrinkled skin. They are so ugly that the often hide in dark spaces.
