I moderated at an event today😁 this was the last thing that happened today and the peak of my day.
I cleaned up and sorted out my things in preparation for the new month.
In truth, the sorting out just gives a soft landing for the month as it covers just a week ;.
I baked, I sewed, I read and made beautiful plans moving forward which will officially kick-off by tomorrow (the start of a splendid wonderful great new month of April).
A picture of my baking result- posting about it very soon.
Then... to the evening activity.
Though the affair of moderating was impromptu as the moderator was not available- I survived🥲😅.
It was a retreat for the laity week which ended today.
My heart wasn't almost in my mouth- it was in my mouth.
I introduced the two speakers and listened in. I was alert all through the talk trying to get all the details to give a summary.
A picture after I survived moderating. Tired looking right? (very).
Now I understand what moderators go through, jeez! It's a chore to keep the crowd alive and interested indeed. This is a first experience for me and I love the thrill and excitement it creates. I was able to mention real-life scenarios of the topics spoken about for us to practicalize and did a whole lot of thanking and applauding.
It was well received by the congregation as I received both praise and constructive criticism. I like the first cus it feels good and the second even more as it gives me great room for improvement.
The criticism- Be more conscious of the microphone 🎤 “Bring it closer to your lips next time.”
Thank God it was successful 🙏😍
Looking forward to another moderating affair though not any time soon- my heart needs a little rest from working double time 😅
I am alive, thriving and grateful. Hope you are as well?
Do have a splendid day💕
