Fire Destroys Salem, China Co. Salem, Ohio 1898 - Nov. 28, 2017

This video is of the Salem China Co. was founded in 1898 by potters from East Liverpool, Ohio. E.J. and William Smith, Cornelius Cronin and Daniel P. Cronin, Patrick McNicol, and T. A. McNicol. The company had a six kiln pottery and was very successful in making white ware. In 1918 it was sold to the Frank A. Sebrings of Sebring, Ohio (Sebring China.) From 1898 until 1960 the company was engaged in both manufacturing and distribution. From 1967 to 1999 it was used for sales and service. In 2003 Church Budget Envelope Company used the building, up until the fire destroyed the building today November 28th, 2017.
