Have you heard about lucid dreaming?
It's a kind of dream, where the dreamer is concious about the experience of dreaming. I have had lucid dreams, which are quite vivid and surreal, and some can feel so real that you might have a hard time telling the difference between the actual reality and the one imagined.
Is it possible to induce lucid dreams?
Yes, it's possible and with practice you can stay concious of the experience for a long time. But usually the dream is only about few minutes under natural conditions that is. Some of the popular techniques to induce lucid dreaming include DILDs, MILDs, WILDs, DEILDs and FILDs. Below you will find more resources on these techniques.
Is it dangerous?
No, it's not unless you're previously suffering from some health issues particlarly those associated with mental wellbeing.
Advanced lucid dreamers can dreamwalk, that is enter another person's dreams and interact with their subconcious thoughts. This however does not mean mind control, as no one can control anyone's thoughts and memories, they can only interact in certain limited ways that maybe beneficial to the host.
