Bienvenidos a mi blog!
Greetings dear readers, today with an interesting topic and attending the call to develop this topic as it is the Resilience, a possible way to be better, this week in Talent Encounter, giving my participation with my point of view and my experience.
When we talk about being resilient is not to let ourselves be defeated or feel that we have failed but to overcome and emerge stronger, in difficult situations that we are presented when there is an illness, the death of a loved one, a breakup, economic problems among others.
In those moments we have to be strong and not get carried away by emotions, have the ability to control tensions in difficult situations, we know that it is there when we feel sadness, insecurity and that we are guilty of such events that happened to us, we learned that we can not change the realities, but our emotions, since we have learned to deal with uncertainty.
There are situations that slip out of our hands and life gives us hard tests, which is where we are able to face it with a better attitude, having the necessary strength to manage and control the realities.
Personally I told you that this Friday my mother-in-law fell, unintentionally slipped on the floor, she had a pair of socks on and when she got up from the furniture she fell and hit her right leg, it was an unexpected situation, she is 81 years old and 9 years ago she was operated on the right femur, it is in that moment of tension where we have to have clarity and strength, because having the ability to find solutions quickly is not easy.
She was taken to the hospital, she was accompanied by her son, who lives with her and is my partner, they were tense moments, he was desperate and nervous, he called me and I immediately went to support him. The doctors attended her, took x-rays and sent her for treatment with strong analgesics for a week, they gave her an appointment to see what her evolution was. Apparently it is not a fracture, but it is inflamed where her previous operation was.
At this moment is where I stayed by his side, not only helping him to take care of his mother, but also giving him love, understanding and emotional support to both of us, because these things happen unexpectedly and we have to practice resilience.
My partner was operated for colon cancer and coincidentally two days before his mother's fall, he was starting his chemotherapy treatment, because he had to suspend it due to this emergency.
My mother-in-law is characterized by her good humor and positive attitude, which is a good symptom to face and accept this delicate health situation, we were there in the hospital laughing at her anecdotes, keeping us hopeful that everything will be all right.
Resilience is not a quality we are born with, along the way we practice it by being optimistic in difficult situations, and willing to value different alternatives, to stand firm and fight for what we propose, proving to be better people.
