Celebrations are a part of our lives, bringing us joy and happiness, because every time we share these events with our loved ones, our relationships grow stronger, bringing us harmony and well-being—the energy of being together is truly unique.
Last weekend, I organized a retro party with my friends. To be honest, we’d always wanted to throw a big party themed around the 1980s—a time when the music and fashion were at their peak, and which we all experienced as the best and most unforgettable era. Plus, that’s when we met in high school, and more than 40 years have passed since then, and we’re so lucky to be alive and to have reunited. Our motto is “To remember is to live.” I love the music from those days, and even though fashion has always changed, our memories will remain.
This trend is trending on social media—it’s all the rage to throw ’80s parties—which motivates us even more because we all love that golden age. The first thing I did was get together with my friends. Once we decided on the date, I designed the flyer—scheduled for August 15—but unfortunately, we had to cancel it because a member of our group passed away.
We’ll always remember her because she loved life and spending time with our group. So we rescheduled it for a month later—September 19, 2026—at our usual spot, “Il Carpaccio,” that Saturday morning. We went to decorate with balloons, vinyl records, and a poster.
The party started at 6 p.m. We arrived one by one to spend the evening listening to music from back in the day, like “Big in Japan,” “Life Is Life,” “Thriller,” “Go Out,” “Situations,” and others. We did some dance routines and had a great time laughing together. Everything went great with my group of friends.
We agreed to throw another awesome party soon—a Halloween-themed one. There’s nothing better than celebrating life our way, with our lifelong friends whose bonds of friendship grow stronger every day, making life easier for us with so much joy.

Las celebraciones forman partes de nuestras vidas, creando en nosotros alegrías y felicidades, pues cada vez que compartimos con nuestros seres queridos, esos eventos las relaciones se afianzan más, aportando nos armonía y bienestar, porque la energía de estar reunidos es único. El pasado fin de semana Organicé con mis amigas una fiesta retro, la verdad que siempre habíamos querido hacer una fiesta general de esos tiempos 1980, en dónde la música y el vestuario eran lo máximo, y que todos nosotros vivimos, considerándolas la mejor época e inolvidable, además en esa época nos conocimos en la secundaria, y ya han pasados más 40 décadas, y es una fortunas estar vivos y reencontrarnos, y nuestro lema "Recordar es vivir" yo adoro las músicas de esos tiempos, y aunque la moda siempre cambié allí quedarán nuestros recuerdos. En las redes está en tendencias está moda, pues es un boom realizar fiestas ochenteras, esto nos motiva mucho más pues todos amamos está época dorada. Lo primero que hice es reunirnos con mis amigas, una vez decida la fecha, realice el flyer, pautada para el 15 de agosto, lamentablemente la suspendida, porque falleció una integrante del grupo, siempre la recordaremos porque amaba la vida y compartir con este grupo. Así que la pautamos luego del mes, sería para el 19 de septiembre de 2026, en la tasca de siempre "Il Carpaccio" ese día sábado en la mañana, nos fuimos a decorar con bombas, discos acetatos y un afiche. La fiesta comenzó a las 6 pm fuimos llegando uno a uno, para compartir la noche mediante las músicas de esos tiempos como: Big in japon, life is life, thriler, Go out, Situations entre otras, hicimos coreografias y entre risas disfrutamos mucho. Todo salió fenomenal con mi grupo de amigos. Quedamos en organizar otra súper fiesta pronto, estilo Halloween. Nada mejor que celebrar la vida a nuestro estilo, con nuestros amigos de toda la vida que cada vez se afianzan los lazos amistad y la vida se nos hace más fácil con tantas alegrías.
