Could this be the biggest gold nugget ever found in Britain?
Well this 121.3g lump of pure gold has been recently discovered in a river in Scotland. The nugget is actually 2 pieces, that fit perfectly together to form a doughnut shape and trump the previous largest find of 85.7g
As I said, the monster was discovered in two pieces but fits together perfectly, earning it the name "The Reunion Nugget".
As you can probably guess the name of the river where it was found has not been revealed. The person that found it is also remaining anonymous, but could be due a payday of £80,000 if the nugget is discovered to be true. It will be purchased by either the National Museum Of Scotland or the Natural History Museum
OK, so it's time I go!! I've got a gold pan to buy and a trip to Scotland to organise....
