When silverd510@silverd510 comes up with ideas theyre usually pretty good, but when it comes to #tags, and more specifically tag posts, he's a genius. His latest post idea for the #steemsilvergold group is a "TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS" theme and involves picking 12 Precious Metal items you'd love to receive.

Take a look at his twelve days of Christmas and see for yourself.

Here are the rules he made up for this little posting sequence:

  • Start off with the lowest dollar items, building up to the one thing that would truly blow you away if you got it as a gift.

  • The items have to be realistic!! No one is going to gift you an 1895CC Morgan silver dollar. Unless you are related to Bill Gates or any other billionaire.

  • The top item can not exceed a value of $2000

Day 10: 10oz, Queens Beasts (any of them!)

Value - $240 - $350

On "DAY 6", read it HERE, of my twelve days of Christmas list, I talked about wanting the latest in the series of 2oz coins, well now I've moved on to its bigger brothers!!

When comparing a 10oz to a 2oz, the size difference is quite obvious.

Following the successful release of the 'Queen's Beast' series of coins, the Royal Mint released a larger version of the popular coins, now as 10oz Silver coins. This is the first 10oz coin ever released by the Royal Mint.

The QB's are ten statues that stood guard for the Queen's Coronation and were sculpted by James Woodford RA in 1953. If you ever want to go visit the sculptures they are currently being housed at the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec, Canada. There are also stone replicas of the statues at Kew Gardens, England.

  • The coin is fine Silver (.9999) and weighs 10oz ounces (311.03 grams).
  • Have a diameter of 89.15mm
  • The coin has a face value of £10

Like all the other coins in the QB series, the prices for these amazing investments increase on a daily basis. These have become incredibly popular throughout the coin collecting world and as the already low mintage numbers continue to be sold, I can only see prices continuing to go in one direction. UP! UP!! UP!!!
