I dont know whats been up with the postal service this year, but a lot of us are noticing a steep decline in service but not in cost!! What would normally take a week or two to transverse the globe is now taking 3 to 4 weeks and some times even longer..... well that is what has exactly happened with this gift. What should have arrived well in advance of Christmas, so that I could open it up on the big day, has areived today, December 28. Not to worry, the way i look at it, its basically like have two Christmases for the price of one.
Along with the shiny silver coins, its also incredibly nice, and thoughtful of the sender, to include a personalised Christmas card and a fewnother bits and bobs. Looks like, along with with lovely card, I recieved some sweets and chocolates bar. Ill be the first to admit, I have a sweet tooth, so these will go down a treat.
Now on to the bit youve all been waiting for- The shiny stufff:
Can i tell you a secret?? Pssst..... come closer!! I organise the secret Santa so i know exactly who sent me this.... Now, I know, that she knows, that I know, that she knows, that I am a pround welsh man. I also know that her and her husband have a great sense of humour, so what better and more fitting, and funny silver coin to get a welshman, than the 3 lions of England.. Honestly, there is NO rivalry, or bitterness from the Welsh towards the English for all those years of oppression and how they raped and pillaged our fertile lands!!!
I will admit, i let out a little chuckle to myself when i saw it. Then i did some research and discovered that its actually a Scottsdalemint coin, made in the USA.
