On a localised level, it may stand a remote chance. But on a global scale, where other countries are free to choose(on consensus) the value and exchange rates, i see it highly unlikely china/russia (the big boys), iran, saudi etc (the oil boys) will allow the US to simply dictate their own monetary correction and accept YOUR new rate of exchange.

Thats the part i cant wrap my head around
