We decided to not grt any Cockerells, so the eggs are just for eating. A friend of ours has a very large flock of free ranged chickens, and should the urge ever strike, i can pick up a Cockerell from them at anytime. But for now, im after the eggs and not a wake up call!! The kids get up early.enough, i dont need a Cockerell waking us and rhe neighbours up too. Hahaha
