One of the largest countries in the world, but with the 5th smallest player pool of any team at this years world Cup. It doesn't look promising for Canadian rugby.
With a former Welsh rugby International in charge of coaching, you'd think they'd stand a chance, then realise who that player is! His playing stats were poor and his previous coaching stats are even worse... Good luck Canada.
The truth is I don't really know too much about Canadian rugby. My only link to them is - I once dated the granddaughter of a former Canadian RFC president. True story.

NO EXPECTATIONS
So Canada enter this year's rugby world Cup with World Rugby expecting very little from them. So could this be the time Canada surprises everyone and do something incredible?? My guess would be NO, but I've been wrong several times before.
With NZ and SA in their group, I give them a 0.00001% chance of progressing. It would be zero, but I'm an optimistic person! They may find form against a struggling Italian side, but shouldn't win. Which leaves a straight up dog-fight between them and RWC minnows Namibia. I could possibly see them winning this one, but that depends on a number of factors going thier way.
Canada are going through a slump and are "building" for the next world Cup in 2023, so don't expect to see them lifting the trophy this time.
