It's was a very busy evening! It's that time of year again where as a family, we visit our local "winter wonder land" and go watch that most British of winter past times - a PANTOMIME..
This year we took 1/2pint to see a classic, "Cinderella" at the New Theatre, in Cardiff. This year's pantomime promised to be as camp as ever with the very average B list celebrity Gok Wan as the fairy Gok mother, and a list of semi-known Welsh actors playing other major parts.
To be fair, it didn't disappoint on the camp front and some very well times "jokes" only adults got left the kids wondering why all the grownups were laughing at random times.
We splurged out a little this year and went for an executive, stage side, private box. The views from up here were definitely worth the extra we paid and it also meant 1/2pint could walk around and stand up to watch the pantomime. When expecting a 4yr old to sit for 2 hours, this should always be considered....
Plus it also meant that I could take random, pointless selfies and not bother anyone else
Does the rest of the world have camp, Christmas, pantomimes??
Ohh no you don't!!! Ohhh YESSSSS WE DOOO....
Was that wasted on you, or did you know exactly what to do?
And we mustn't forget the old classic "he's behind you!!"
Or am I not making any sense anymore?
We laughed, we cried, we danced and we shouted at the top of our lungs, but most of all we had a fantastic time.
After the pantomime, we headed back through the Winter wonder land, to try some candyfloss and eat some doughnuts.
The fair rides were amazing again this year and we are definitely going to come back next weekend and spend some more time here.
The best part of last night's little trip was that it wiped poor 1/2pint out completely, and for the first time in forever he was still flat-out snoring when I left for work this morning.
I hope you enjoyed me talking about it as much as I enjoyed being there. Time spend with family and friends at this time of year is always the best.
