Is #piratesunday still a thing?

After informing our merry little band of stackers that @pit-pullion was having a little silver giveaway over on instagram, it got the group all a buzz with talk of hopefully getting the old pouring gang back posting on hive, and showing the blockchain what can be achieved with a small amount of silver and a fancy mould.

Obviously I have every intention of taking part, what stacker in their right mind wouldnt want the chance to win some free shiny?? Anyways, in order to take part, I had to go fish around my community poured silver chest. Whilst rummaging through the chest, I was thinkingnto myself that "I really should show more of my silver collection, and especially stuff poured by our very own #silvergoldstackers community".

So submitted for your scrutiny, on what is/was #piratesunday, I give you the mean looking 2.3oz, 999fs, pirate skull!! Poured by non other than Mr silvergoldstackers himself, @raybrockman. Ray is an OG member of the group, and was the glue that held a lot of us here during the early days of steem blockchain blogging. I owe this man a lot, as im sure many of you do, so when he branched out into selling it and not just giving it away(yes he did that a lot), we were all delighted to help support his little side hustle- TOXIC POURS

Ive attempted to pour a few bits and bobs myself, but Ive never been able to master it. Its definitely a skill id like to master, but for now im happy buying other peoples work.....

So thats #piratesunday covered, now let me take you to the home of "money" a bit closer to home(well it is for me):

The amazing Welsh summer has started, and that big ball of gas has decided to make an appearance, so i took 1/2pint for a walk to visit the Royal Mint. Its a short walk from the house, and we can incorporate a few detours and make an afternoon of it.

We visit quite often, and i always allow him to pick a coin or two from their incredibly expensive range. Its a great way to get him intrested in not only uk coinage and the history of it, but helps to educate him on the importance of building a strong and diverse portfolio.

Anyways, happy #piratesundays you bunch of scurvy sea dogs......

If you dont own any precious metals, then why not tell us?
