By now all the names on my list below should have received their "secret santa" address (please check discord)?
If you said you wanted in on this year's exchange of gift, then you have been given an address of someone else on that list and now is the time to get it ready and sent out to them. Just in time for Christmas...
Remember, this is a SECRET and santa says do your best and try and keep your identity a mystery (where you can).
Suggestions like:
with love from you SS if sending Christmas cards in your package
if a return address is necessary spice it up a bit and call your self Kris Cringle or Pappa Noel
make it obvious that this is a secret santa package, so your SS doesn't open it up by mistake. We want everyone to keep it till Christmas day.
This is all part of the fun, but NEVER break any laws/rules your county has when posting.
If you've been one of the unfortunate one to get an international secret santa, please try and be contentious to any import tax/duty. If you are required to add a postage label for content, be imaginative - a $20 silver coin can always be called a "Christmas metal paper weight", and since it is a GIFT the value can be "$1". This could save any embarrassing future emails!!
True story - on our first try at this secret santa, a fellow Steemians sent me a package and went a bit OTT for postal insurance and price declaration! It ended up costing more in import tax than the contents itself... hahahahaha
Any problems, don't hesitate to get in touch ASAP. We can still sort something out, but the longer you leave it the harder it becomes.
