HAPPY NEW SPUD! The day @welshstacker became a DOLPHIN...

There is a new movement sweeping across steemit - S.P.U.D or Steem Power Up Day! SPUD takes place on the first day of every month, and since today is the first day of the first month of a new year and a new decade I thought it only fit that this be the first time I take part.

So I though to myself, if I'm going to take part then I need it to be something special. I've known about SPUD for a few months, but never looked in to it in much detail. Once I realised where I was with regards to SP and liquid steem holdings I knew the fist time I took part would be the first time that I finally become a DOLPHIN.

My plan today is to power up the exact amount of steem (+1) to get me over that magic 5000SP milestone and become something I always wanted to be and has taken me 32 moons(2yrs 4 months) to achieve:

I may have waited too late to take part in the actual SPUD as my rep is more than 69, but that's OK, I just wanted to show that I am committed to steemit and my future here on the steem blockchain.

It's time to get this SPUD underway:

OK, I'm a little bit proud of myself if I'm completely honest. I've been looking forward to becoming a DOLPHIN and having over 5000 STEEMPOWER since I fist started. I'm a little disappointed it took me this long, but it is amazing what can be accomplished from posting everyday for 32 moons.

What a way to kick start 2020! So when the rest of the world realises what they are missing out on and all flock to join us, I'll be able to remember the exact day I became a dolphin here on steemit.
