After our post from yesterday, we had so many encouraging responses and feedback! It was exciting for us to see how many Steemians feel strongly that individualized programs like Welcome Wagon are necessary and important to the overall success of Steemit! We are fully committed to continuing to come alongside to train, support, and build up our recruits, as their successes directly affect ALL of the Steemiverse!

Wasted effort by wandering aimlessly.We try to solve that by pointing our recruits in the right direction quickly! Though we can't recruit everyone into the Wagon, we will try to put tips on our blog for more people to get help in short bursts! You can FOLLOW our blog, or suggest that a newbie you know FOLLOW, comment, and ask questions!
The VALUE of manual voting vs the REALITY of supporting many. There is such value in manual voting! But, there is also value in being efficient in your time while supporting well-known quality posts. It's a GREAT idea to join curation trails of groups that host excellent material. Join ours if you like! Steps below.
Growing with your peers, while staying in touch with the "new crop"! I firmly believe we can get so fixated on our own station, that we lose sight of the forest through the trees. It's a good practice to find people above you to mentor you, and ALWAYS find people below you to mentor! Keep your finger on the pulse of Steemit - it's how we all stay connected and elevating this platform together!
Interested in following the Welcome Wagon Curation Trail? Here's how!
It will take you to a screen that uses SteemConnect to log in. (Always make sure that you are on Steemconnect before entering your password!)
Once it verifies your Steemit identity - you will be directed to the following screen.
Click on Curation Trail and search Welcome Wagon
After you FOLLOW, you'll want to adjust the settings! The default is 100% vote, at 0 minutes (Meaning, as soon as the Welcome Wagon account votes on something, you will immediately vote on that post too at 100% voting power. It's best for you to change that to a scaled amount - which is a percentage of the WW vote. If you set it at 25%, your vote will be a 25% vote when we vote 100%. If we vote on something with 10% upvote, YOUR vote will be 2.5% It's scaled to ours :)
UPDATE: In the original post, we suggested that you make sure that your settings have your curation trail set to something other than 0 minutes. Thanks to @bengy confirming, this has been updated as per his comment below. Thank you for that @bengy! As he stated, it is up to the lead voter to make the choice of the timing (against the post). Meaning - You will follow what the Curation trail votes on timing. We currently have it set for 16 minutes on all of our auto votes.

Finally, @natubat asked if there was a Welcome Wagon Digest - or someplace where the best of the Wagon is featured! I can proudly say that our recruits have been HIGHLY recognized for their material, Curies, interviews, mentions, curation features, author showcases, etc. So you probably have seen some of their work without even realizing that they were part of the Welcome Wagon. However, there are some plans in the works to share some of their work, straight from our mouths! Keep your eye out for our updates, and feel free to FOLLOW us to stay in the know!
Let me just take the time to once again publicly thank you all for your interest and support of the Welcome Wagon! These are exciting times for us all! I have a feeling that Steem will be on the rise again in the near future. When prices rise,people start returning. It will be a good thing to have more of us grounded and focused on the BIG picture - so that we can continue to flourish and steer this ship in the right direction!
