The other day 2 Colombians got stuck in my yard. I came home and there was a big truck, a big trailer and 2 Colombians who did not speak english. Where i live people tend to not take much shit. I can only imagine if this happened at one of my neighbors. They were quite frightened by seeing me but i reassured them it was no big deal. They were trying to turn around because there job was on the next street over. We tried for over an hour to get them unstuck. It was quite comical because of the language barrier. Ive grown up mudding in the woods so stuck is nothing new. The trailer was stuck on the truck and we tried everything. Finally i gave up and just went and sat down. They asked for some water and i gave them each a bottle. Finally they got their boss on the phone who spoke english. He apologized for a few minutes and i kept letting him know, no big deal. He then let me know he had a bobcat in the other road. We went and picked up the bobcat and i pushed them out from the rear, against the trailer. They were both extremely happy especially because of the intense heat. They thanked me and left. A few hours later they stopped back by and asked me for a phone charger. Im like wtf, you get stuck on my yard, i get you water, we get you unstuck and now you want a charger. Im nice but i know how people can mistake kindness for weakness. I get the charger, i plug it in on an outside outlet and they looked kinda puzzled. What they were really wanting was for me to give them one for the road. I said yeah $10 bucks lol. So i put my good charger back and went and got them an old one. They were very pleased. I bitched a little like wtf bros, what else you want. Anyway wasnt a big deal. I never expected to see them again but a few days later they stopped by, smiling from ear to ear, and gave me back the charger and a couple cervezas. I now have 2 new Colombian friends lol.
