I think that every person had a moment when he wanted to remain alone in the whole world and this idea is often reflected in literature and cinema. For example, after the movie "Home Alone" all the boys and girls dreamed their parents would go somewhere for a few days). We explored the island with Robinson Crusoe and enjoyed the noise of the surf. We cried over the deceased dog along with Robert Neville from "I Am Legend".
What would I do if I were left alone in the world? Probably spent all the time traveling. And if I can still ride around Europe and Asia, then the characters in the movie "Bokeh" are stuck in Iceland.
Riley and Jenai come to rest in Iceland. They have fun, enjoying the harsh beauty of the country, while Jenai does not see a bright green flash at night.
After waking up in the morning and wandering around the city a little, the couple realizes that they were alone. There are no new messages on the Internet, no one answers the phones. Riley more or less normally perceives the situation, but his girlfriend falls into depression and then starts to hysterical. She throws the whole film from extreme to extreme: she wants to go home, she does not want to, then she has fun, then she cries, she wants coffee, she does not want it. And these hysterics are the whole movie.
They also constantly run out of water. According to the guy words, it was only a few weeks since the end of the world or how to explain the mass withdrawal of people. Did they drink all the water from all the supermarkets on the whole island in a couple of weeks? That's weird.
Okay, let's go further. The couple aimlessly spends time running around the island, thanks to this we can see the endless beauty of Iceland. We really showed a lot of beautiful places.
He hunts for a rare shot, which only Iceland is able to give him. It is a hint that you need to enjoy the moment, here and now, but everything is so flatly shown that you do not notice it. Everything is drowned in the hysterics of Jenai and her fake game.
I should like to pay tribute to the wonderful ending. It's really gorgeous. Actors finally played in a right way. And the final without musical accompaniment forced to watch titles to the end and fix this moment in memory.
In my opinion, the film could have produced a great short film. The beginning of the film is excellent, the middle enrages because of the main character -Jenai, well, the ending is just 10/10, well, maybe 9/10. Unfortunately, we will not be explained what exactly happened. But maybe the creators of the film didn't sweat, they just had a good time in Iceland and that's why it turned out. The film is about people who have everything, but there is nothing inside. And this is completely uninteresting to watch.
