Is Google, the world’s most powerful search engine, censoring certain websites?

According to Eric Lieberman, the Tech & Law reporter with the Daily News Foundation, it’s now displaying fact checks almost exclusively for conservative publications in its results.

While many people might say fact checks are a great feature, Lieberman says the Google displays are solely meant to fact check conservative publications like the Daily Caller. He says that’s not the problem. Google’s fact-checking is also blatantly wrong.

“The problem is that not only is it partisan, but the claims that they say were made by us were never even made by us. One claim they attribute to us was made by President Trump. They use third party sites doing the fact checking, and some of these sites are very partisan, left-leaning and one sided.”

Lieberman says the bias is very left leaning.

“Also, it’s very interesting that they post an awards section for more traditional legacy news sites like the Washington Post and New York Times. So while they are providing fact checking, that is very dubious to us and other websites like ours, they are celebrating those newspapers. We’ve had a couple of awards, and I don’t know why ours aren’t up there.
