A Busy Day Ahead 😅

Today, I’m going to have a very busy day at work. Once a week, I have an especially demanding day so that the rest of the week can be a little more relaxed. Most of my working hours have therefore been scheduled in the middle of the week, which means I probably won’t be able to do much online over the next few hours.

I’ll still connect from my phone from time to time to make sure everything is running properly on my end. However, there may be a slight delay with curation and the distribution of certain rewards. But don’t worry—everything will be caught up as soon as I get home, or possibly during a break if I have enough time at work.

That said, working from a phone is really not ideal. The screen is small, it isn’t very practical, and my eyesight tends to get worse with age… For now, I’m wearing temporary glasses while waiting to see an eye specialist. Needless to say, reading code or trying to understand complex files on a small screen isn’t exactly the most enjoyable activity. 😅

Tonight, when I get home, I’ll also have to start reading everything I’ve saved for later on GitHub. Well… when I say reading, I mostly mean trying to understand what I’m reading. ^^ There are quite a few interesting things I’ve come across, but I haven’t had the time to properly look into them yet.

In particular, I’d like to add a new feature to my curation bot: I want every post I vote on to automatically appear on a Discord server, without having to rely on external programs or services. I’m sure it must be possible, probably through the bot itself and a Discord integration, but I simply haven’t had the time to properly explore the GitHub project related to it.

For now, I need to take the time to understand how everything works, see how it is organized, and check whether my small computer will be able to handle the additional feature. The PC running my little bots isn’t exactly a powerful machine. I bought it for only 50 dollars, so I can’t really complain. As long as it works properly and is able to run my programs, that’s already pretty good. 😄

I’ll just have to be careful not to ask too much of it, especially if I start adding several different automations and integrations. But little by little, I’ll eventually manage to get everything set up. The important thing is to take the time to understand each step and not break everything by trying to move too quickly.

In the meantime, I’m going to try to survive this busy workday. I’ll check in from time to time to make sure everything is running smoothly, but if some things are delayed today, you’ll know why. Everything should return to normal as soon as I finish my workday and can sit down at my computer again. 😅
