Hello Steemits! Maya`s here ^^
Travel is said to educate only intelligent people. This seems to be a big simplification, and it is more important to be determined by commitment and curiosity.
Actually, we have always been faced with the statement that they are educating. But is that really the case? Can we be trained in any way?
Everything depends on the setting
The truth is that it is up to us, above all, whether we are educating or not. How much we get out of the journey and for what purpose we are going to go there at all is very important. If you're on a trip just to get the most out of your life, it's best not to leave the beach at all? it is hard to say that such a journey will somehow improve our education. It is up to us how we plan our trip and how much of the learning attractions we organize.
Getting to know cultures
Travelling around the world is the best way to get to know foreign cultures. Travels educate us because they show us the real life of other people, often from very distant countries. Watching documentaries, reading books and watching photography will never have the same effect as seeing it all with one's own eyes. Sometimes it is only when we find ourselves in a given country and meet the people who live there personally that we are able to understand the meaning of their customs and traditions. Something that seemed to us to be completely incomprehensible from the perspective of our country, there seems to be completely natural.
The experience is invaluable
Travels educate us because they give us one of the most valuable' things' in life. Experience! A visit to a foreign country always abounds in various adventures and sometimes even difficulties to overcome. We gain new experiences, learn how to cope in various situations. Travels shape character, teach some flexibility, independence and adaptability. A visit to a country where everyone speaks with an unknown language puts us in a new and difficult situation, but it also shows that a solution can always be found and man is able to cope even in the most difficult conditions.
Thanks to the new experiences and adventures that we experience while travelling, we become richer people, our general knowledge of the world is expanded. There is also a good chance that we will make some interesting acquaintances, meet interesting people who will bring something to our lives.
Learning a language
Given the impact that travel has on our language skills, we can again confirm that they are educating. No course, no school is able to teach us a foreign language as much as everyday contact with him abroad. Many of us, although learning a language for many years, are ashamed to use it and cannot speak fluently. Visiting abroad is the best way to break down your barriers and become familiar with a foreign language. The advantage is also that we get to know a common language, which is often not taught at school and which is very useful in everyday life.
Expanding horizons
Traveling is above all about getting rid of one's own borders and broadening one's horizons. People who travel a lot are usually more open to the world, more tolerant towards other people. Travels educate us because they give us an incredible opportunity to observe the everyday life of people from completely different cultures. They also show that although we are often divided by skin colour, appearance, culture, language and customs, we are all the same people. Even if we don't speak the same language, we are still able to communicate, eat a meal together or exchange with a warm smile. Travelling and people they meet during their journey can really change the way they approach life.
