Gm Hivians! Totally a great day to be out and about. A nice sunny day but not too hot. We decided to take a day trip to a dam close to where we live in Pattaya but hey, on the way on the map from Wong Amat (North Pattaya) to Mabprachan Dam, there are a few places that we'd love to stop by to fill our stomach before having fun scooting, walking and whatever by the dam.
I have shared one of the places here with you all yesterday in my post about 'CURRY VIBES カレーバイブス', a Japanese curry house that honestly I fell in love with and sure will visit again and again in the near future. After some good food, no way we not looking for some refreshing drinks or a great dessert.
NAN Cafe & gallery
NAN Cafe & gallery is just 5 mins drive from CURRY VIBES カレーバイブス. Found it simply just on the map. It just sounds interesting to me already how they combine both things, a cafe with a gallery in one place so why not pay them a visit! Another funny thing is that this place located in such poor area but their place is really fancy and owned by the rich. The cafe and the gallery located on the land and attached to a pool villa that owned by the same owner.
Walking into the place, you can already feel how colorful and green it's going to be inside the place. They have a few colorful kites hanging welcoming us into the cafe. Inside the place though, I really didn't expect it to be really 'another world'. Almost like the whole jungle inside the place. Great looking jungle too with all the well taken care flowers and plants. A small river cut through the area and a few different hang out spots in the garden.
A few animals around the place, fish in the river (my friend's kid loves that!), then at the end of the way, there's an art gallery where a good amount of arts shown.
Very cool and shady. It's sure relaxing just to walk around seeing all the greens and watch some animals along the way. Sure a great place for family or friends to come hang out and chill for a few hours.
NAN Drinks!
It's sunny out so we felt like something cold and fruity. We went with lychee soda with blue lemon soda. Not too bad really but I wouldn't go there just for the drinks. Most what used to make the drinks were all syrup - Instagramable though how they use real fruits for decorations and how the colors really stand out.
Mabphrachan Dam
After some good food from the Japanese curry house, sweet artificial drinks and relaxing afternoon at NAN cafe and gallery, we continued our day trip to Mabphrachan Dam which is about 10 mins drive from the cafe. The idea is actually just to swap the scene from the ocean to damn just for the day.
People come to Mabphrachan Dam mostly to walk, ride, or jog around the dam. There're some of the spots you can drive to get closed to the water and maybe have a picnic there. If you feel like dining in, there are also a lot of cafes, restaurants and bars around the damn.
It was sure a good day. NAN cafe was a good surprise. I wouldn't think there would be such a place hidden in that area. Love the atmosphere and how green it is inside the place as well. Quite enjoyable if you have a good amount of time just to hang and chill. Once you're there already, don't forget the curry house and a dam to chill out in the evening afterwards ;)
