If some one asks me if I want the good news first or the bad news, I always choose the bad news. Lets just get it over with, then move on to the happy times.
- I totally dislike being stranded along side the road in a broken-down vehicle. I don’t care whether the sun is shining or there is a blizzard. Being helpless along the roadway is disturbing to me. Even with the cell phone in my pocket, there are still areas where there is no service. Finding a place wide enough to pull out can be hard to find, and you never know who may be coming by to help.
2.Cleaning the liter box. Who does like it, right! I swore years ago I would never have a cat that needed a litter box! Well, 40 years later and I have 2 cats that because of their living arrangement, can’t get outside easily to use natures litter box. God, I hate the smell and looks of it. Such a fun way to start and end the day!
I snagged this picture from a google search because it was to dark to take my own picture!
3.Bears in my car in the middle of the night. Always a wonderful thing to wake up to at 3 am. to the sound of rustling around in the camp area. Glad I was sleeping 20’ away on my cot and he decided the sugar glaze on my lips from the midnight snack weren’t enough and went for the car where the donut stash was held. That will teach me to leave a window open. That bear slobbered my car from the trunk to the front window. When I flashed the light to see what the racket was I spied 2 eyeballs about 10” apart in the back of my Subaru wagon. Not good! My friend asked how I was gonna get him out of there. Wasn’t gonna shoot him for sure, so I crept up to the trunk and hollered “ Bear, get the FK out of my car” and slapped the window several times. The car bounced all over the place and out the window went the bear. Whew! I did not go back to sleep. I fired up the coffee pot and sat until nearly daylight, then went back to bed.
The pictures are to disturbing!!
4.Snakes. These little creatures never bothered me as a child growing up, even when my brother threw them at me. When I grew up and lived in an area that had “poisonous” snakes, it became a different issue. I went to check the rabbits one morning and found a dead one in the cage and several that had blood on them. Wondering what had happened, I reached in to the cage to examine the injured. Suddenly I noticed at the back of the cage, on the outside of the cage, a huge rattler!! He was so big he couldn’t get into the cage but was striking through the wire. Had to muster my courage with the hoe and frantically dispatched the nasty thing. Talk about nightmares! That was only one encounter. I dislike poisonous snakes.
5.Mondays. Yes, I dislike Mondays. It’s a psyche thing with me. Too many years of 9-5 jobs that started on that dreaded day…MONDAY. What a perfect way to spoil a wonderful weekend! I am semi-retired now and am so grateful for the flexibility. I don’t have to work on a MONDAY anymore 😊 My clients laugh at me when I tell them Mondays are out.
Now onto the things I LOVE
- I love love love this hot spring. My first winter in Idaho back in the 70’s was spent here. So many wonderful memories and lessons about life and survival were learned here. There were a group of Mother Earth News people staying that winter and I learned so much about health, fitness and primitive living.
2.Sunrises and Sunsets. Lots of people see them, but I bet you didn’t know they were made especially for me.
3.I love seeing people that are truly “ IN LOVE” Relationships come in all shapes and sizes. It thrills my heart to see couples that truly respect and love one another. Nonjudgmental, encouraging, unselfish love. It is a beautiful thing.
This is a photo I stole from my friend Chris Yorks Facebook page. She and her Hubby Mark are amazing.
4 I love my keurig coffee maker. Perfect coffee every cup!
And number 5
I love staring out my windows seeing the beauty the master has placed before my eyes and I love thinking about all the blessings and wonderful people he has placed in my life. I am so grateful
