Thank you for your suggestion. In our area it all comes down to availability. Not much land and a bunch of people on it also means not many people keep pigs. I've seen some duroc and will go see Mangalica pigs this weekend. It all comes down to the individual personalities. Anything too dominant and our Kune will get overwhelmed.

Most pigs are very social towards other species, humans included. An old farmer told me once that pigs with floppy ears are more laid back and quiet then pigs with upright ears. As a general rule he's right if I think back to my experience with different breeds. Even the Kunes are way more noisy even though they are kinda lazy.
It's not based on anything but what the old farmer said stuck with me.
