My name is Waqas and honestly I don't know why I'm even writing this but I guess someone needs to say it.
So basically I had to move into a hostel because of work, wasn't really my choice tbh. Like who WANTS to leave their house right. Anyway it's been a while now and I'm still not used to it if I'm being honest.
Food is probably the biggest struggle ngl. This morning was plain rice, an egg, banana on the side and chai in these small steel cups (you know the type). It's not bad but it's not good either, it's just... there. Same thing pretty much every day just switched around a bit. You stop expecting anything good after a while, you just eat because you have to.
And then there's this hallway right outsi
de my room, literally every time I walk past it there's like 20+ shoes and slippers just thrown everywhere lol. Everyone's coming and going, taking their shoes off, and nobody organizes it. Small thing but it kind of shows how many of us are actually going through the same thing at the same time, just trying to get by.
Idk I'm not trying to make this sound sad or anything, it is what it is. Just wanted to share because I feel like a lot of people here in Pakistan are dealing with the exact same stuff and nobody really talks about it.
Anyway if you've lived in a hostel or PG you probably get what I mean lol, let me know if your experience was similar or worse than mine
