Jeff and I found a little restaurant nearby that makes the most awesome salads and I consider a great salad a superfood! This choice was an Asian style mandarin orange salad with chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers and a light sesame seed dressing. The greens were delicious mixed greens and the presentation was beautifully done. Jeff chose the chicken avocado variety and it was full of tomatoes, cucumbers and cheese. The name of the place is Gallery K in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania and it just happens our first visit there is when he proposed to me in February.
Erin, the owner, is vivacious and sweet. The place is low key with mellow music and interesting art fills the walls. The staff is attentive and makes sure you get what you want to order. We really like supporting local businesses over chains in our small area. A hidden gem like this needs to get more exposure so I share on social media when we visit and I hope they stick around. The trip beats driving an hour to Panera which also has awesome fresh salads.
Eating fresh is the best way to go and I look forward to returning soon!
Work put me on the late shift owning up to my lack of posts this week, but I am back on day shift next week, thankfully. Thanks for reading!
