I decided to check my notifications before writing this and I'm glad I did. Not only do I get to answer a question I also was given some valuable information on kitten care.
River is just a baby herself. She is not quite a year old. I was looking for her owner on a local app forum and was contacted by her brothers human who mistakingly thought it was her cat. After talking for a bit I was informed that they were born of stray cats.
River will be able to be spayed in just three more weeks. Her kittens were born on the 25th of last month making them just over three weeks old and their eyes are open.
As for Kitty and her brood, she decided today was the day she was no longer going to wait to get outside. It was advantageous to me as it gave me time to change Champs bandage without worrying Kitty. She came back inside before the hour was up though and stayed at the foot of my bed. Her and River almost got into it but I watched them carefully and made sure they did not get too close to eachother.
Champ does not like when I take the bandage off. I'm not sure if it is because I wet his foot while doing it, it hurts him, or a combination of both. In any case his foot is looking better between the oral medicine and the medicine I put on the wound before putting on a fresh bandage. As far as his sister, her foot looks like the swelling is going down. I do not have any new foot pictures right now so I will leave you with this.
