To recap for anyone who may have missed some stuff this week. River was spayed Monday. I was told when I picked her up to keep her isolated from other animals for twenty four hours. When the vet called Tuesday to check on her I was told to keep her isolated as long as possible to keep the boys from trying to nurse and so the stitches not be messed with.
I kept her in my room for an extra day and let her out Wednesday to mingle with the others until she went after Kitty for no reason. Back in to the room she came. At night I spent two hours with the boys. They love sitting with me.
I tried again Thursday with the same results. I ended up bringing her back into the room. I can't remember if it was because of one of the boys or if it was another scuffle with Kitty. Either way I was looking to make sure she did not break the stitches. I do know what a miracle the body is in its ability to heal but it is always better to be safe then sorry.
Friday River got to stay out of the room a little longer but I brought her back in when I noticed one of the boys trying to nurse. Even though they were three months old on the twenty third of this month they still try to nurse. I'm curious if this is normal.
I let River out this morning and she has been with the boys all day. I was going to bring her back in after this was posted but the boys were trying to use the makeshift litter pan I made for River so I had to bring her in ahead of time.
As far as the boys, only Rivers come to me and mainly when I am sitting in the chair in the living room. Harry loves attacking my feet and legs. Tonight I was not paying him attention as I was reading so he decided to try and climb on me using my leg as an object to hold onto. I guess I can't sit there anymore.
Fred and George have gotten a bit hard to tell apart now that they are the same size. But I notice today that one had a white tipped tail and the other had an orange tip tail. Now I just have to figure out which one is which. Whichever one it is, one of them loves sitting on my lap and trusts me so completely that he does not even move when I am reposition myself for comfort.
I know I said I was going to update with some newer images of the boys but they were fairly active today because they were excited about being able to spend time with River. Even she enjoyed it for a while until she over did playtime.
Most of the rest of the day she was laying down with her stomach covered. I noticed she seemed tense and would not let me roll her over to check her stomach. I did finally get her to roll over. She was a little red but all was well.
