We learn from various things in our lives. It could learn from something very simple or something very complex. Over the weekend I learned from Hurricane Irma.
Hurricane Irma was considered as an extremely powerful and catastrophic hurricane. A category 5 hurricane, winds up to 185 MPH, making it the most strongest hurricane that we have ever seen. By far this hurricane was going to create havoc no matter where it lands.
Many had to be evacuated. Many lost their homes. Many were without power and etc. Many had their lives turned upside down. Those that were successful and used common sense, had minimal disruption in their lives. Why? They had the means to evacuate their family. For others they had the means to protect there home and "hunker" down in the trenches until the storm passes over. Success, provides options. Not only does it provides options for you, but also for your family, friends and community.
My successful friends that lived in Florida, were able to leave the state of Florida. they picked up all that they could, family, friends and headed to different states that wouldn't be effected by the hurricane. They hung out, made a vacation of it and today arriving back. Stress free, no danger, no drama.
The lesson for me is that it's your duty to be successful. It means everything to your family, friends and your community. It's better to have a surplus of capital vs just having enough or having less than enough. With having just enough, one bad storm can derail you or even destroy you. But those that have success can help others as well as themselves.
It's your responsibility to be successful. Anything less than that is simply selfish.
