What I look forward to achieving
With the new year ahead of us, I am feeling excited about all the possibilities 2024 holds. While I have many hopes and plans, the one major goal I'm most eager to achieve is creating my own Hive community called HiveDancers. This ambitious idea was born during a Newbies Initiative brainstorming task, and now I am determined to make it a reality,so help me God.
The premise behind HiveDancers is simple - provide a space for the many talented dancers on Hive to connect, collaborate, and get recognized. Dance is such a vibrant, engaging artform with a passionate following. I figured why not gather Hive's dancers together to showcase their skills?
My vision is weekly dance contests where competitors can film video performances to prompts announced by the group moderators. There would be prizes awarded to winners in categories like Most Creative Choreography, Crowd Favorite, Best Technical Skill, and so on.
I would also organize special events like dance tutorials from renowned choreographers, Q&As with professional dancers, and discussions on topics like dance history, famous routines, and training tips. This educational content will complement the competitions.
My hope is that HiveDancers will provide a supportive home for both hobbyist and experienced dancers alike. They can team up for duet or group numbers, share constructive feedback, and appreciate each other's craft. Positive vibes only!
I know the logistics of launching a new community won't be easy because I know as it is my first attempt it would be hard. But starting this initiative would mean so much to me personally as a lifelong dance enthusiast. I'm willing to put in the hard work to get it going.
My goal is to have the groundwork laid for HiveDancers by the end of Q1 2004. I plan to recruit experienced Hive users for mentorship and moderating assistance. Collaborators will be crucial to success,I strongly believe.
With the right support and promotion, I believe HiveDancers can thrive as a vibrant subgroup under the CreativeCommunities umbrella. Let's get ready to dance, Hive! This will be an exciting journey no matter what twists and turns await. I'm ready to lead the charge,I mean I am ready!!!
Here are some thoughts on my goal of launching the HiveDancers community:
A major key will be generating excitement and buzz leading up to the initial launch.I plan to do lots of teaser posts and announcements to get people curious. Maybe even some HiveDancers merchandise giveaways!,it would seriously carry a lot of fun .
I would love to recruit at least 2-3 dedicated moderators from various dance styles to share the workload. Their expertise can help craft prompts that bring out members' strengths.
Spotlights on individual Hive dancers pre-launch could introduce the talent and personalities that will make up the community. Mini interviews would let them share their stories.
Collaborating with existing dance groups/studios outside Hive could help onboard newcomers. We can bridge virtual and physical dance worlds.
I envision lively Discord conversations and watch parties for the weekly dance contest streams. Building camaraderie off-platform will be important too.
To drive more traffic to the page, moderators could guest post recaps and highlights on their own blogs. Cross-promotion will amplify reach.
I'd be thrilled if HiveDancers competitions unearth the next online dance superstars! Seeing members gain wider followings would show we achieved our mission.
My ultimate measure of success will be fostering a tight-knit community bound by passion. If we inspire and uplift each other through dance, I'll consider that a victory.
I'm sure there will be roadblocks and lessons along the way. But focusing on our shared love for dance will guide us forward. Let's do this, Hive!
