Putting a leave in my mouth caused me problems.
I want to quickly share with of my funny moment visiting my grandma, you all know that in this life there plenty of things we always come across and learn about them at the same time, which is what we call experience, and growing up there are plenty of things we heard from our elderly ones which because of mentality and mindset we tagged all their saying superstition but let me be sincere there are some of their sayings that are not superstition even though it sounds like that, it is really crazy sometimes that some of the things they told are very true, without wasting me such of the time let me quickly hit the nail on its head.
It have been told by my grandma that whenever you see a deaf person, we should not make the mistake putting a leave in our mouth unless we want to see trouble, I have heard my grandma saying this to us on a several occasions , which at first I was kindly scared about the whole thing, though I have never known the reason dumb people don't like someone putting a leave in their mouth in front of them, the only thing I know was they are going to get angry and try to fight whosoever that they see doing that in their present, you know as someone who is curious about the situation on ground, I decided to take a bold stem by trying to know what putting leave in someone's mouth could mean to the dumb people.
Now I want to really know the outcome of my action, so I decided to use of dumb lady in our street as an experiment, seriously it did not go well for me and I nearly got arrested for doing such an act, it is hilarious, but I learned from the mistakes I made, and I promised myself to always listen to what my elder are saying. Let me quickly tell you the funny thing that happened that almost got me arrested, but thank God the parents of the lady knew my grandma very well and had built a strong relationship for years.
Here is what I did,
On one beautiful afternoon, I was sent on an errand to get something for my siblings, so on my way going to where I was sent, I saw this deaf and dumb lady coming towards me, so I quickly pluck a leave and put it in my mouth to see her reactions, but she just looked at me and go her way, I never knew she went to her parent to report me.
I was at home in the evening when the parents of this lady came and started abusing me and saying all manner of things to me, then my grandma came out to see what really happened, then they explained all the things I did to the lady, that day was the day I know the meaning of what I did and from that day I never tried it again.
I was told that the meaning of putting a leave in the mouth in the presence of deaf and dumb people is abusive, and they might create trouble from doing that .it means you are abusing their father and mother, but because they can't speak it will really bring out the devil in them, they see it as offense.
