My one(1)year anniversary*
Seriously,I have no other option than to celebrate my one year anniversary on Hive. It has been a rough and plain journey for me ,but I must say that Hive Blockchain is the best platform I have ever seen in my life .
A Lot of things I have learnt from the beautiful platform but I did not give up , these are:
Low curation
Although hive platform is not a get rich quickly platform , everyone needs to understand this,so when I am not getting curations ,I did not stop writing quality post .
Getting curations
Whenever I get curated ,it is always a great joy for me ,after all everyone loves being curated ,it is always amazing.
Now that I am 1 years old ,I need to keep doing the good work to keep me on track and check too.i have really made a lot of connections here on hive that keeps me going.
One of my first lessons was around curation and Hive's unique economic model. In the beginning, I would feel disheartened when my quality content would get little or no engagement. I had to shift my mindset to understand curation is not guaranteed, and Hive incentives good content through stake-based voting.
While it stung not getting curated at first, it taught me not to rely on validation from others. I had to learn to find internal motivation to post for the sake of sharing my voice. I realized Hive's value was less about rewards and more about building a creative community.
That said, on occasions when I did get curated, it was incredibly rewarding. The value of Hive dollsrs is in the connections they represent more than the money itself. Being curated made me feel acknowledged and gave me a sense of belonging in the Hive community.
While the lack of curation initially stung to my ego, it taught me an important lesson - not to rely so heavily on validation from others. I realized I needed to find internal motivation to post for the sake of sharing my voice, not external rewards. Curations felt nice when they happened, but Hive's real value was in building a creative community, not money.
That said, on the occasions when my content did get curated, it felt incredibly rewarding. The value of Hive dollars is more symbolic than financial - curations represent human connections more than money. Being curated made me feel acknowledged, validated, and like I truly belonged in the Hive community.
Now, after an entire year under my belt, I am still learning new things every single day. I don't let the ups and downs of curation discourage me from contributing quality content. I see now that consistency is key - regularly posting helps get my voice and presence better known among fellow Hive users.
While my first year presented challenges, what kept me motivated through it all was the amazing connections I made. I have met so many wonderful people who offered friendship, advice, and encouragement along the way. That human element is what makes Hive special and keeps me engaged.
I was also welcomed into some supportive communities that made me feel at home. Having a tribe of like-minded creators to interact with added a social layer that enriched the Hive experience beyond just blogging. I'm grateful for those who took me under their wing.
Now as I look ahead to year two, I genuinely have no idea what to expect. But I'm excited to keep developing as a creator, strengthen existing connections, and meet more of Hive's diverse global users. There are always new skills to build and people to connect with.
I am so grateful for the hive Blockchain .
