How I finally became a Lagosian( true life story)

It all began nine years ago, when my journey to become a Lagosian started. Looking back, it seems like a dream to me. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that one day I would be a resident of Lagos, hustling for money, pursuing my education at the university level, and returning home to explore. However, upon arriving in Lagos, everything changed. I realized that the reason I had that mindset was due to a lack of exposure and the kind of mentality I had.

Exposure plays a critical role in the lives of individuals. It is through exposure to different experiences, cultures, and opportunities that one can gain a broader perspective and develop a more profound understanding of the world. In my case, arriving in Lagos provided me with the necessary exposure to transform my mindset and propel me towards becoming a Lagosian.

From the moment I stepped foot in Lagos, I was captivated by the energy and vibrancy of the city. It was a place where dreams could come true, and I was determined to seize every opportunity that came my way. The hustle culture in Lagos was both daunting and inspiring. It challenged me to push my limits and strive for success and want to become something huge.

Furthermore, Lagos offered a wide range of educational opportunities. Through hard work and determination, I was able to secure a place at a public university. This experience allowed me to broaden my horizons academically and intellectually. I was capable of interacting with a diverse student population, learn from accomplished professors, and gain valuable insights into different cultures and ideas.

As I delved deeper into my studies, I realized that Lagos was not just a place for hustling and making money. It was a place where dreams could be nurtured and opportunities could be seized. The entrepreneurial spirit that thrived in Lagos inspired me to start my own business and pursue my passions.

Furthermore, being a part of the Lagos community allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life. I formed friendships with people from diverse backgrounds, each with their stories and unique experiences. This exposure broadened my horizons and taught me the significance of embracing diversity and appreciating different perspectives.

In conclusion, becoming a Lagosian was not an easy journey. It required hard work, determination, and an open mind. However, it was the exposure to Lagos and its unique energy that transformed my mindset and enabled me to embrace the city as my home. Today, I am a Lagosian by choice, and I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences this city has given me.

Seriously, if you ask me that, do I really think I am willing to settle down in my village, I would say no and that I because I am totally in love with the city called Lagos?

Thank you so much for reading my post.
