Maybe when you do meditation, you are confused. "What type of meditation is suitable for me?" In fact, there is no standard way to meditate. Everyone must have their own style of meditation. To be able to find out what type of meditation is most suitable, you should try it yourself. Meditation that suits you is the most comfortable meditation you do and makes you compelled to continue doing it.

Well, what kind of meditation is right for you?

Focus Meditation

If you use this technique, you focus on whatever object or activity you are doing. This type of meditation does not encourage you to do multi-tasking. You can focus on one object such as the breath, the sound of the bell, or the flame of a candle. You can also focus on meditation activities such as cleaning the room, walking, or even while enjoying your favorite tea.

When you are eating, you only focus on the sensation when you eat. When exercising, focus on sensations when exercising. Focus your attention fully on these activities. With consistent practice, this type of meditation can improve your ability to focus.

Visual Meditation

This type of meditation is a type that uses visualization in practice. This meditation has a purpose to influence your subconscious. Form a visualization of yourself reaching a goal or visualizing the life you want. This affects your subconscious mind so that it can help manifest the life goals you want.

To be able to do this type of visual meditation, the first thing you do is to determine your desire or purpose. Do you want to have a healthy and strong body? Do you want to be able to go abroad or want to start a new relationship? Imagine as if the thing you want has already happened and feel what kind of feeling is coming up.

Mindfulness Meditation

In using this type of meditation, you divert your attention which is usually thought about past events and anticipation of the future. This meditation can be done anywhere, whether you are at home, working in an office, or waiting for a queue while shopping. Enjoy with all your heart the present moments you are experiencing.

Love and Good Meditation

This type of meditation is also commonly called Metta Meditation. This meditation technique improves the quality of goodness and compassion within us. This meditation is also appropriate to help you forgive others and yourself.

While meditating, you can say in your heart words like "May all beings be happy, peaceful and full of love". Or you can focus on certain people. Whether it's someone whose family, friends, boyfriend, or person who could hurt your heart. Even you can offer this meditation of love and kindness for yourself.

Transcendental Meditation

Transedental meditation is the most popular type of meditation throughout the world and is the most studied. This meditation is a type of meditation where you sit quietly and focus your attention on the breath. Do this meditation consistently. You can do it 5 or 10 minutes first, then you can extend the time gradually. This type of meditation can help you improve spirituality and self-awareness.

Spiritual Meditation
