If you think someone you know is considering suicide, you should help him immediately. Call the hotline number 500-454 to learn more about how to provide assistance and find out about local sources of suicide prevention. Experts agree that suicide is a medical and social problem that can be prevented by socializing ten
1. Understand the principles behind suicide prevention. Suicide prevention is most effective when the risk factor [3] is reduced and the protective factor [4] [5] is strengthened. To intervene in suicide attempts, try offering or strengthening protective factors, because then you will have less control over risk factors.
Risk factors include a history of attempted suicide and mental disorders; to study the list more comprehensively, see section method 3: "Understanding Suicide Trends".
Protective factors include clinical care, support from family and community, support from professional medical personnel, and the development of problem prevention and conflict resolution skills.
2. Show that you care. The best protective factors for combating isolated feelings (which are risk factors) are emotional support from [7] and connecting with friends, family members, and the community. [8] [9] A person who wants to commit suicide needs to find a reason why he wants to choose to stay alive, [10] so show him that he is an important part of your life. Think of ways to support it or get rid of stress from his life.

Discuss the enthusiasm of adults or young adults about things they like. If the person you care about is young, do some research about his special interests so you can talk about them with him. The main purpose here is to show that you care enough about that person, through serious talk about his interests and suggestions. Ask open questions that allow him to share his enthusiasm or interest freely with you. [11]
You can ask questions such as: "How can you learn so much about (something)?" "Can you tell me more about it?" "I like your personal style; how do you determine what you will wear? Do you have a style suggestion for me? "" I watch a movie that you suggest and I really like it. Do you have other movie suggestions? "" What is your favorite film? Why? "" What hobbies or activities will you do for the rest of your life?
