1. United Arab Emirates

Oil is a major industry in the United Arab Emirates, and oil reserves have been found that allow the country to produce nearly 2.2 million barrels per day. While oil is responsible for most of the country's GDP of $ 375bn, production of building materials, textiles and energy production all play a role as well.

2. Thailand

The Thai economy continued to grow throughout the year, and the 1980s experienced huge growth for this small country. GDP for Thailand in 2016 was $ 390.6bn. Outside oil, textiles are the second largest product produced in this country. As a country that relies on oil, Iran relies on large countries such as China for solid export relations. Because this country has around 16% of the total oil reserves in the world, 90% of all export revenues come from oil, and 87% of the money received by the government is through crude oil. However, unemployment can soar in Saudi Arabia. GDP in 2016 was $ 637.8bn, slightly lower than the previous year mainly due to oil price fluctuations.

6. Indonesia

With good access to many natural resources, Indonesia's GDP continues to grow. In 2016, GDP was $ 941bn and only expected to increase. Indonesia is a large country, with more than 250,000 people living between 17,508 islands. Indonesia is a major exporter of gas, crude oil, rubber, plywood and textiles. While Indonesia's unemployment rate is high, resting at 6%, Indonesia continues to grow and increases GDP as a whole.
