Here are three disparate pieces that were floating in the ether and are now here to be read...

FROM THE REBELS HANDBOOK

Here is a little something from the rebels’ handbook: In the sun and the hot heat of the day many thoughts will come to break up your resolve and as you droop beside the road you may feel like turning back.
Your choices at this moment will determine your new challenges; be brave, and if nothing else then sharpen your sword.
A fine steamed coconut juice at this point will help your ideas to cool down and give you energy to climb back on your feet to travel on along your long road towards your dreams and you never know but a bus may come along for you to flag down and climb aboard.
Stay away from the jungle if you become lost, it won’t serve you well in there; forget the Fahrenheit if you’re a centigrade. Always pay in cash so you’ll always know how much you do have. Watch out for the hypnosis. And don’t eat too many donuts or you’ll get fat.

LATER

They say you can't fall over backwards fast enough to lose yourself where you can't be found, give or take a yard or two; but you can dig a hole that will accept that smallest part that seems to be left over after the laughter has gone for you to stare out from the deep.
In the Tai chi square she was hiding in from the hot sun Zen met a very old bottle of beer from Italy that was riding a three-wheeler cycle round and round and kept riding past her and saying hello.
It was far too hot for her to even open her mouth so she waved hoping that would be enough, but it wasn’t and over he came with his sun tan and beard and born again eyes the flavour of rusty cherries.
It was a tad disconcerting for him when he waved his bon this and bon that disguise at her and the only reaction he could mine was a half-hearted sadness at the end of a tired shrug as if to say: the whole world can’t move this so what chance have you got?
They both left each other at the gate of fallen dreams with Zen working her way through the shadows and he riding off into the hot bright sun...
Over in the bushes, the milkmen and their girlfriends and the deltas from worry were scratching their frowns collectively and mollycoddling their fears to boot, and while all this was going on Zen was eating toast and drinking coffee in a café she’d found and making herself as small as possible, but she felt too uncomfortable in that.
And then she came to thinking: ‘Why should I make myself small? I have as much right to be here as anyone else and what I say is as valid as the next person’s stuff.’
The listening device attached to her heart and watching her from a wooden bridge weighed all this and said: ‘It’s up to you, I’m going back to bed,” and left her to it.
Zen was undecided to be big or small and so withdrew from the equation to listen to the birdies in the trees to see if they had anything interesting to say; but they were hooms-booming with the fish in the pond and making no sense to her, so she went back to bed too...zzzzz

“And now dear, dear children for our first word we have bananas and our second word is rattled. This is your homework so make sure you bring it back first thing tomorrow all done and dusted.
Oh, the title will be: In under a full moon.”
“Please Miss?”
“Yes?”
“Can I have cops and robbers in mine?”
“Yes of course you can.”
“Oww-oww?”
“Yes?”
“What about machine guns that fire rice bullets?”
“Put it in too if you want.”
“I want a hero.” “And I want a grass snake.” “And I want the loo.”
“Children dear children you can have whatever you want, it’s your story to write as you please and put in whatever you want to. Class dismissed.”
And that’s all she wrote.
