I no longer use PayPal but my daughter does. 1001 different ways to get paid (model, vintage shop, etc) if I hear her it's the only way to receive (piggy banks in different valuta and the cheapest is to not exchange). She also has issues with the pin-machine/payments by card (every few months another one since she's tricked plus it takes over 1 week till the transfers arrive).

I believe Pay Pal charges way more than Wise does, N26 a bit more although they use Wise, Revolut is an option too but no idea what they charge but you can earn if you talk others into an account, same for Wise btw plus Wise pays if you have £, $ or € saved in 'jars'.

I doubt the banks save on energy and that's why transfers arrive later. Instead of better, faster it only gets worse.

Btw my daughter uses for certain payments a private account (next to business and PayPal and preferable cash). It works faster and is free.

You tried online banks, free accounts?

I wish you strength with the fight but most of all less stress and the right to lay hands on your own money.
