It wasn't me but the school my son and more schools joined the Eco Shell Marathon. Unfortunately not each car made it through the check/control. This one did but still, repairs and changes had to be made last minute. Some were not done out of laziness because my son told me what the requirements were. Till the moment they left the car had issues which means only a few worked very hard to solve the issues. No matter what you join support is a must and so are sponsors. Last minute a second teacher decided to come along to support the team. Without him and my son (translating), it would have been very hard.
Schedule, organise, eat well, and having time to relax and sleep are important as well next to if it comes to the car's good parts.
Driving isn't the problem. The driver of this car was a girl mainly because of het weight. The less weight the longer the distance the car can drive.

The car itself was built several years ago and the engine and so on are new. It turned out someone stole the inside 🤔 so the teacher who started this was no longer motivated to continue. Kind of a pity all those who worked at it in earlier years weren't present.

Perhaps they will mention if the school celebrates their success? Those who developed and worked at it have something to write on their CV. Who knows it's a way to a job?

I assume it's possible to magistrate if you want to join. Some schools or universities might have developed the idea but let a company build it. This is only possible if there's enough money. Unfortunately, there hardly was, not even for more than one meal a day.
